4 Km SWIM  190 Km BIKE  41 Km RUN  TOTAL ELEVATION +6300m

‘It all starts at an altitude of 1,430 metres.’ Portugal’s most extreme triathlon takes place in the Serra da Estrela Natural Park. This iconic location offers our visitors/athletes the opportunity to enjoy some of the best scenery and Portuguese culture.

But at the same time, this demanding and rewarding triathlon race will test your endurance!

The ‘warm-up’ for this triathlon takes place in Lagoa Vale do Rossim with a 4 km swim. Then the fun begins with 190 km of road cycling through one of the largest ancient glacial valleys in Europe before reaching the summit of Portugal’s highest mountain (Torre, 1,993 metres above sea level). Make sure your brakes are in good condition for the long descents and sharp bends along the way to T2.

There’s no science to the running segment. 41 km. Half uphill. Half downhill. Finish line.

Warning: That medal at the end comes with a lot of training and sacrifice! You better be prepared!
